1 Betty Crocker™ SuperMoist™ vanilla cake mix
  Eggs, vegetable oil, and water called for on cake mix box
1.5 tablespoons powdered cardamom
  butter to grease pan
Nut Mixture
1/4 cup light brown sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1/2 cups chopped walnuts
  • 1 Make cake batter as directed on box, then add powdered cardamom to mixture.
  • 2 In a separate bowl, mix light brown sugar, cinnamon and walnuts together.
  • 3 Spoon 1/3 batter into a well-buttered pan. Add ½ nut mixture, then 1/3 batter, then remaining nuts, and finally, the remaining batter.
  • 4 Bake 1 to 1.5 hours until brown on top and dry when you insert a probe all the way down. Transfer cake to plate after 10 minutes of cooling.
