Middle Eastern Tiramisu
A middle eastern spill was cast on the French tiramisu which transformed it into this very light summery dessert, saffron cream with rose scented berries and crunchy pistachio with lady finger drenched in berry juice.

1 Pack Betty Cocker tiramisu mix
1 cup milk
8 tablespoons canned cream
Pinch of saffron thread

1 cup quarterly chopped strawberries

1 cup raspberries

1 1/2 Tbl spoon rose syrup
1 1/2 Tbl spoon rosewater
1 1/2 rosewater

2 cups mixed berry juice

1 cup roughly chopped pistachios

  • 1 Combine the strawberries and raspberries with the rose water and rose syrup and let it soak for 10 minutes.
  • 2 In a clean mixing bowl, mix the canned cream, milk, saffron threads and the tiramisu pudding mix on high speed for 5 minutes.
  • 3 Dip each lady finger in the mixed berry juice for 1 second on each side and place in the serving cup, add a layer of the soaked strawberries and raspberries then spread a layer of the saffron pudding and sprinkle some pistachios
  • 4 Repeat the layers and decorate as desired
  • 5 Place in the fridge for at least a couple of hours to chill before serving.
