Qatayef pancakes

Ingredients

  • Small check mark in a circle icon 1 Pack Betty Crocker – only add water - Buttermilk Pancakes Mix
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 2 2/3 cups of water
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 2 Cups of Ashta
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 1 Cup Sugar
For Garnish
  • Small check mark in a circle icon Pistachios
  • Small check mark in a circle icon Sugar syrup

Preparation

  1. Place pancake mix and water in a bowl. Beat until thick and creamy.
  2. Butter a large non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Spoon pancake mixture into the pan. Cook only one side until bubbles appear then move to a plate.
  3. Shape the pancakes as Qatayef cones. Add 1 spoon of Ashta in the cone. Top it with crushed pistachio nuts. Drizzle with sugar syrup on top.
  4. You can use regular Betty Crocker Buttermilk Pancake Mix to create the Qatayef. Just follow the instructions on the packaging.

  • You can use a regular Betty Crocker Pancake mix. Just follow the instructions on the packaging to add eggs, oil and milk!
