Balah Essham (Churros)

Ingredients

  • Small check mark in a circle icon 1 box Betty Crocker™ Pancake, Crepe, Waffle Mix
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 1 2/3rd (414ml) cups of water
Topping
  • Small check mark in a circle icon Sugar
  • Small check mark in a circle icon Cinnamon powder

Preparation

  1. Add water to the Pancake, Crepe & Waffle Mix
  2. Heat the oil in a deep-frying pan
  3. Add the dough into a pastry bag and use a wide nozzle.
  4. Cut the dough in long portions until golden and crispy.
  5. In batches, being cautious not to overcrowd the pan, carefully lower into the oil using a slotted spoon and cook for 1-2 minutes, using the spoon to gently turn Balah Essham so that they are evenly colored.
  6. Tip onto a baking tray lined with kitchen paper to drain until Balah Essham have finished cooking.
  7. Add sugar and cinnamon on top for added flavor and texture.
