Ingredients
- 1 box Betty Crocker™ Dark Chocolate Cake Mix
- 1/3 cup (72g or 80ml) vegetable oil
- 1 1/5 cup (275ml) of water
- 3 eggs
Dates
- 330ml Milk
- 100 grams of dates
Topping
- Walnut/referred topping
Preparation
- In large bowl, pour hot milk on dates to help loosen the date for around 15 mins.
- Cool about 15 minutes or until lukewarm.
- Blend the mix in a blender and set it aside
- Heat oven to 180°C. Stir all cake mix, water, vegetable oil and eggs for on cake mix box into date mixture.
- Pour into ungreased 23cm circular pan.
- Sprinkle with topping.
- Bake 50 to 55 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Cool completely, about 2 hours.
