Ingredients

  • Small check mark in a circle icon 1 box Betty Crocker™ Dark Chocolate Cake Mix
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 1/3 cup (72g or 80ml) vegetable oil
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 1 1/5 cup (275ml) of water
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 3 eggs
Dates
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 330ml Milk
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 100 grams of dates
Topping
  • Small check mark in a circle icon Walnut/referred topping

Preparation

  1. In large bowl, pour hot milk on dates to help loosen the date for around 15 mins.
  2. Cool about 15 minutes or until lukewarm.
  3. Blend the mix in a blender and set it aside
  4. Heat oven to 180°C. Stir all cake mix, water, vegetable oil and eggs for on cake mix box into date mixture.
  5. Pour into ungreased 23cm circular pan.
  6. Sprinkle with topping.
  7. Bake 50 to 55 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  8. Cool completely, about 2 hours.
