Dibyaza Pancake

Ingredients

  • Small check mark in a circle icon 1 box Betty Crocker™ Pancake, Crepe, Waffle Mix
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 1 2/3rd (414ml) cups of water
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 2 cups mixed dried fruits (apricots, figs, raisins, prunes, walnuts, pine, dates)
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
For the caramel
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 2 tablespoons of butter or ghee
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 1 cup sugar
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 2 cups of water

Topping

Preparation

  1. Add water to the Pancake, Crepe & Waffle Mix and mix
  2. In a separate pan, blanch and peel the almonds, then lightly toast them along with the pistachios and walnuts in a dry pan until fragrant.
  3. Chop large dried fruits like apricots and figs into small pieces.
  4. In a deep pan, melt 1 cup sugar over medium heat until it turns golden brown.
  5. Add 2 tbsp of butter or ghee, stirring well.
  6. Slowly add 2 cups of water to the caramelized sugar (be careful, as it may splatter). Stir in dried fruits and let them simmer for 10–15 minutes until they soften.
  7. Heat a pan over medium heat and pour the pancake mix. Make multiple and sit them a side
  8. Pour the Dibyaza mixture on top of the pancake stack.
  9. Drizzle with honey if desired.
  10. Cut the stack to reveal the fluffy pancakes and rich filling inside.
