
Upside-down Pecan Cake

Ingredients
- 1 box Betty Crocker™ White Cake Mix
- 1/3 cup (72g or 80ml) vegetable oil
- 1 cup (230ml) of water
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup Pecan
- ½ cup butter
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Topping
- Honey
- Caramel
Preparation
- For the base, mix the pecan, butter, brown sugar, honey, cinnamon & vanilla mix together on pan until the sugar is melted.
- Preheat the oven to 180C. grease the pan with butter and lightly flour
- Add the cake mix, oil, water and eggs together in a large bowl on a low speed until moistened.
- Pour the batter into pan with after the pecan mix was set first.
- Bake for 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Cool for 10 minutes and remove from pan
- Once the cake is done, flip it onto a simple platter.
- Drizzle with honey and caramel, then add the powdered sugar and sprinkle with cinnamon for an elegant finish.
- Serve warm, cut into slices to reveal its moist, nutty texture, and enjoy this comforting treat perfect for Ramadan gatherings.
