- 3 Egg
- ½ Cup oil
- 1 ¼ Cup water
- 1l Vanilla ice cream
- 2l Milk
- 1 Cup date paste
- 10 Dates, diced
Shake up your Iftar with a dessert drink!
Preheat oven to 180 °C. In mixing bowl add cake mix, eggs, oil, and water, and whisk until well combined and smooth.
Grease a round 22 cm baking pan and pour the cake mix into the pan. Place in oven and bake for 25-30 min, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Leave to cool, then cut into small pieces (4 cm cubes).
In a blender, add 3-4 cake pieces, 2 scoops of ice cream, 2 cups milk, 2 tbsp date paste and 1tbsp diced dates and blend on high speed until smooth. Repeat to create the quantity required.
You can use any leftover Betty Crocker cakes, and create different milkshake flavours using chocolate syrup or strawberry milk.
