
Qatayef pancakes

A Ramadan favourite made easy.
Ingredients
- 1 Pack Betty Crocker – only add water - Buttermilk Pancakes Mix
- 2 2/3 cups of water
- 2 Cups of Ashta
- 1 Cup Sugar
For Garnish
- Pistachios
- Sugar syrup
Preparation
- Place pancake mix and water in a bowl. Beat until thick and creamy.
- Butter a large non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Spoon pancake mixture into the pan. Cook only one side until bubbles appear then move to a plate.
- Shape the pancakes as Qatayef cones. Add 1 spoon of Ashta in the cone. Top it with crushed pistachio nuts. Drizzle with sugar syrup on top.
- You can use regular Betty Crocker Buttermilk Pancake Mix to create the Qatayef. Just follow the instructions on the packaging.
