Ingredients

  • Small check mark in a circle icon 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist Yellow Cake Mix
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 3 eggs
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 1 cup sour cream
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 1 cup soft light brown sugar
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 2 tsp cinnamon
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 2 cups icing sugar, sifted
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 4 tbsp milk
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 1 tsp vanilla extract

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a 9x13” baking dish with baking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the yellow cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, sour cream, water, and vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the light brown sugar and cinnamon.
  4. Pour half of the cake mix into the prepared dish. Evenly sprinkle the cinnamon sugar over the batter. Pour the remaining cake mix over the top. Use a skewer or knife to swirl the two mixtures together.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a skewer inserted comes out clean.
  6. Meanwhile, prepare the icing. Whisk together the sifted icing sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  7. As soon as the cake is removed from the oven, pour the icing evenly over the top.
  8. Slice into 12 squares and serve warm.
